I had Office 365 ProPlus, and the version of Skype for Business has to match that.I started mucking around a bit more, ticking the option to automatically start, pressing OK, turning it off, pressing OK, rebooting but every time, Skype for Business just turned up, like a strange uncle you never invite to dinner but somehow still finds out and turns up every night.Its under C:UsersusernameAppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsStartup replacing username with what youre thinking you should replace it with.

I suspect this is part of the problem, because it also wont re-open until that task is killed. I dont have any other Office apps open, and it seems like a common enough problem that others will hit it maybe with other programs too and this Windows 10 option enabled. Had a look under sign in options but I dont even have this as an option. There is no entry in startup folder for Outlook so I cant disable it. FYI.Start up no longer lives in msconfig. With 1709 it resides in the task manager and msconfig tells the user to go there. Check C:ProgramDataMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsStartUp And C:UsersYourUserNameAppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsStartup and failing either or both of those look to these registry locations but of course back it up, create a restore point manually, and export the key prior to editing for safe keeping. I did run a registry cleaner though as I do every now and then. I ran AutoRuns and I am overwhelmed by all the entries and not really sure what I should be looking for. Update on what starts on bootup.now I not only get Outlook but also the last message that I looked at even though I closed it before shut down AND the virtual keyboard is popping up on bootup and I have not used it in a long time. There are a couple of antvirusspam programs which have an option to do this. You).
